Visits to Schools, Libraries, Writers Conferences, and Book Clubs

I'm always happy to discuss making in-person or Skype visits to schools, libraries, writers conferences, and book clubs. My sixty-minute presentation (including PowerPoint, brief reading, and Q&A) called The Road to Publication walks students through the journey of getting a book traditionally published, pointing out the fact that they may themselves already be on the road to publication. I also offer the Build-a-Character Workshop, in which students try their hand at developing well-rounded, engaging characters of their own, as well as a workshop about pairing words with pictures and other visual components. I'm happy to do the presentation only, or the workshops only, or some combination. I'm also happy simply to come discuss Genie Wishes or writing in general. Almost anything can work, really. If you'd like to talk more about the possibilities, let me know!
